Detective Lenses are a Tinkering craftable item that allows players to determine another player's Thieves Guild membership status or identify which players have looted a corpse.
Players can use Detective Lenses by double-clicking them and targeting a player or corpse within 4 tiles. There is a 10-second cooldown between uses, and each activation counts as a Detect Hidden skill usage. To use a Detective Lens, a player must have at least 80 Detecting Hidden skill.
Targeting another player with a Detective Lens will privately reveal whether the target is a member of the Thieves Guild and whether they belong to the Grey Hand or Red Hand membership.
If a player in the Thieves Guild is targeted by a Detective Lens, they will receive a notification that another player has scanned them.
Using a Detective Lens on a corpse will display the names of all players who have lifted or interacted with items on the corpse.
