Mechanics
The chance to hit with a mace-class weapon is determined by:

Mace Fighting also provides damage bonuses when used as a secondary weapon skill:

Mace-class weapons apply a unique special attack when used against creatures. Players have a 10% base chance to inflict a Special Attack, which can be increased through:
When a Special Attack is triggered, the following effects apply:
- Increases the damage of the attack that generated the special by 50%.
- Applies a Pierce Effect for 8-16 seconds, reducing the target’s Effective Armor Value by 25.
- If the target’s Effective Armor Rating is 0 or at its Armor Minimum, the Special Attack damage increases by an additional 50%.
The duration of these effects scales based on:
- Weapon speed (slower maces apply longer-lasting effects).
- Creature difficulty (tougher creatures resist effects differently).
