Players have the ability to tame, purchase, and earn a variety of mounts throughout the world. Mounts are primarily used for traveling across the Overworld but cannot be used inside Dungeons. This restriction ensures that while the world remains easier to traverse, more dangerous locations remain mount-free.
When a player is riding a mount, that mount's effective Control Slots are reduced to 0. This means a mounted player can still command up to five Control Slots worth of tamed creatures. However, if a player dismounts and their total number of controlled creatures exceeds the limit, they will be unable to command any tamed creatures until they either remount or release one of their followers to return to five or fewer Control Slots.
Players who enter a Mount-Restricted area, such as a Dungeon or a Mountless Faction Struggle zone, will have their mount automatically "stashed away," causing them to be dismounted. When they exit the restricted area while alive, they will automatically remount their previously stashed mount. If a player dies within a Mount-Restricted area, they will remount their stashed mount once they are alive and in an area where mounts are allowed; they simply need to take one step to trigger the remounting process.
List of Mounts
Players have access to various mounts, including horses, ostards, llamas, and rare creatures. Some mounts, such as Grizzly Bears and Polar Bears, are only available through Tokens, while others, like the Direwolf and Skeletal Horse, have unique acquisition methods.

Mount Tokens
Players can obtain special blessed Mount Tokens, which allow them to summon unique mounts. These summoned mounts provide no combat advantages but can be used for travel. To summon a mount, players must double-click a Mount Token in their backpack, which will immediately place them on the mount. Normal mount restrictions still apply.
There are several rules associated with Mount Tokens:
- Players may only activate a Mount Token once every 30 seconds.
- To dismiss a summoned mount, players can either double-click themselves or the Mount Token in their backpack.
- If a player enters a Mount-Restricted area while riding a summoned mount, the mount will automatically be dismissed.
Miscellaneous
Players can ride various mounts, including horses, llamas, and ostards (including Frenzied Ostards), without requiring a specific Animal Taming skill. However, there are limitations for players who attempt to own multiple high-tier mounts without the necessary skills.
A player may only own one mount that exceeds their Animal Taming or Animal Lore skill requirements at any given time. If they attempt to acquire a second such mount, they will receive a system notification preventing them from doing so. Additionally, if a player has insufficient Animal Taming or Animal Lore skill for a mount, they will face several restrictions:
- They will not be able to issue the Attack, Guard, or Patrol commands.
- The mount will not cast spells or use any of its special abilities or traits.
- The mount will never deal more than 1 damage in combat.
- The mount will not receive the normal Aggro bonus that tamed creatures get against enemy creatures.
- The player will not be able to earn Creature Experience or gain Passive Animal Taming while using a mount they do not have the skill to control.
Horses and Llamas both require a minimum of 50 Animal Taming skill and can gain experience.
