Arcane Essence is a highly valuable resource used to recharge many high-end items, including Aspect Gear. It is also used to add additional charges to special reward items, such as server-unique items granted from events. Players can obtain Arcane Essence by turning in specific items to the Prevalia Exchange or by recycling identified magical items. When a player recycles a magical item, they will receive Arcane Essence in addition to any standard resources returned. (Note: The appearance/graphic of Arcane Essence was updated in a recent patch.)
Additionally, Arcane Essence is required to purchase Echoes, with costs scaling as follows:
- 25,000 Arcane Essence for the first Echo
- 50,000 Arcane Essence for the second Echo
- 75,000 Arcane Essence for the third Echo, and so on.
Obtaining Arcane Essence
Players can acquire Arcane Essence through the following process:
1. Find magical weapons and armor during gameplay.
2. Use the Item Identification skill to identify the item(s).
3. Recycle the identified magical item using a crafting tool:
- Open any crafting tool and select Recycle Item, then target the magical item.
- Players can use any crafting tool to recycle a magical item (e.g., using a smith’s hammer to recycle a magical bow).
- No crafting skills are required to recycle magical items.
4. Once the item is recycled, the player will receive Arcane Essence in their backpack.
Arcane Essence Recycled Amounts
The amount of Arcane Essence obtained from recycling magical items varies depending on the item’s properties. The specific values can be referenced in the table below:

Arcane Essence Commodity

Players can now convert large quantities of Arcane Essence into a commodity deed for easier storage and trading.
- Using a Blank Commodity Deed, players can create an Arcane Essence Commodity Deed by targeting stacked Arcane Essence in their backpack.
- Each Arcane Essence Commodity Deed represents 5,000 Arcane Essence.
- These commodity deeds can be sold on Rental Vendors, and their prices can be managed using the Pricing Manifest system.
Arcane Essence Consumption
When using Aspect Gear, players accumulate damage progression that gradually consumes Arcane Essence. Each character has an invisible "Damage Progress Meter", which tracks the amount of damage they inflict while wearing Aspect Gear. Once the meter reaches 100%, the character will lose 1 Arcane Essence charge, and the meter will reset to 0%.
The rate of Arcane Essence consumption follows the formula: 1 Arcane Essence is consumed for every (3000 - (30 × Tier Level)) Damage Dealt.
Any bonuses that reduce Arcane Essence consumption (such as Weekly Server Region Bonuses) will lower the rate at which the Damage Progress Meter increases.
Example Calculation: A player wearing Tier 10 Fire Aspect Armor inflicts 500 damage. Their meter will fill up by: 500 / (3000 - (10 × 30)) = 18.5%
Warning Notification
Players can set up a custom warning notification to alert them when their remaining Arcane Essence charges drop below a specified threshold. The "Warn When Below" setting determines the charge level at which a notification message and sound alert will be triggered.
To configure this setting:
1. Open the Aspect Mastery Menu.
2. Click the "Set" button to open the warning configuration menu.
3. Enter the desired warning threshold.
4. Click the "Set Target" button to confirm the target number.
This ensures that players receive a timely alert before running out of Arcane Essence charges.
