Revision as of 06:46, 1 March 2025

The Arms Lore skill allows players to analyze the stats of weapons and armor while providing passive bonuses in combat. It is particularly useful for melee combatants, offering durability protection and increasing the effectiveness of special attacks.

When used, Arms Lore allows players to inspect weapons and armor up to 12 tiles away. Additionally, it provides a chance to ignore durability loss on weapons, armor, and shields when attacking or parrying, calculated as: 75% * (Arms Lore Skill / 100)

Effects in PvM

Arms Lore enhances combat effectiveness in various ways. It increases the chance of inflicting Weapon Special Attacks with Arcane, Archery, Fencing, Fishing, Mace Fighting, Swordsmanship, and Wrestling.

The additional Weapon Special Chance is determined by:

10% * (Arms Lore Skill / 100)

Players also gain a boost to their Weapon Ability Meter, which fills every 6 seconds by an additional:

10% * (Arms Lore Skill / 100)

Arms Lore grants a Swing Speed Bonus against creatures of:

5% * (Effective Arms Lore / 100)

Disarm Attacks

To perform a Disarm Attack, a player must have at least 80 Arms Lore and 80 Weapon Skill in their currently equipped weapon, or 80 Wrestling if unarmed. This mechanic allows skilled fighters to disable their opponent's weapon momentarily.

Hamstring Mechanic

The Hamstring ability is linked to Arms Lore and provides additional tactical options in combat. Visit the Hamstring page for an in-depth explanation of its mechanics and applications.
