Outlands Patch March 10, 2023 is an update for Outlands.

This patch adjusts Factions timings and scoring for Wayposts, Flag Steals, Purification, and Securing, introduces Heat of Battle for Faction actions, adds Flag bonuses within Faction Dungeons, removes Murder Counts/Region Restrictions in Faction Dungeons, improves Storage Shelves resupply logic, adds a "Keep Poison Weapons" setting, adjusts potion loadout increments, changes Detective Lens weight, adds effects to Unicorn/Skeletal Mount Tokens, fixes Smuggler prices, adds Alchemy bundles, reduces material costs for Inscription items, fixes House Boat launch issues, allows Runebook/Runetome restyling, addresses a Town Struggles MVP issue, prevents Rental Room town changes for new Murderers, adds Decorative Wizard's Satchels, and fixes issues with Weapon Specials/Finishers and Atlas Book graphics.

Factions

Wayposts

  • Control Ticks now every 15 seconds.
  • Control 0% to 100% now takes 3 minutes (Note: Later changed to 2 minutes in Patch 23.08.14).
  • Max Potential Faction Score from participation increased to 50.

Flag Steal Attempts

  • Control Ticks now every 15 seconds.
  • Steal 0% to 100% now takes 3 minutes.
  • Max Potential Faction Score from participation increased to 50.

Flag Purification

  • Control Ticks now every 15 seconds.
  • Purification 0% to 100% now takes 3 minutes (Note: Later changed to 1 minute in Patch 24.07.03).
  • Max Potential Faction Score for players within 50 tiles increased to 50.

Escorting (Purification)

  • Spending 60+ cumulative seconds within 50 Tiles of non-Purified Flag (outside Castle/Daemon Keep) increases Potential Score from Purification by +100% (max 100 Potential Score).

Flag Securing

  • Control Ticks now every 15 seconds.
  • Secure 0% to 100% now takes 3 minutes.
  • Max Potential Faction Score from participation increased to 25.

Escorting (Securing)

  • Spending 60+ cumulative seconds within 50 Tiles of Purified Flag (outside Castle/Daemon Keep) increases Potential Score from Securing by +200% (max 75 Potential Score).

Heat of Battle

  • Faction players now receive a 30-second Heat of Battle flag for:
    • Being a Valid Contestant during Waypost Control Tick.
    • Being the Purifier during Purification Control Tick.
    • Being in Flag Room during Steal Attempt Control Tick.
    • Damaging a Faction Door.
    • Being in Flag Room during Secure Attempt Control Tick.

Faction Dungeons

Flag Bonuses

For each Faction Flag Secured in their Castle, faction members receive bonuses while inside the Faction Dungeon:

  • +5% Damage to Creatures (Note: Changed slightly later).
  • +5% Loot Bonus on Creatures (Note: Changed slightly later).
  • +10% Faction Score from Faction Spawns (Note: Changed slightly later).

Restrictions

  • Players no longer receive Murder Counts or Aggression Region Restrictions while in Faction Dungeons.
  • Players kicked due to IP Restrictions ejected to random location at Daemon Keep.

Storage Shelves

Partial Resupply

  • Now Resupplies partial amounts if shelf doesn't contain full Loadout request (for Stacked and Non-Stackable items).
  • System message indicates partially resupplied items.

Downgrade Resources

  • Can now Downgrade Resources or Food Types ("Use Any Food Type") multiple times if needed to meet Loadout request amount.
  • System message indicates downgraded items.

Storage Shelf Settings

  • New "Keep Poison Weapons" toggle: If Enabled, Restock keeps backpack weapons with Poison Charges remaining (doesn't add to shelf).

Potion Increments

  • Loadout increment amount for potions other than Heal/Cure/Refresh changed to 1 (was 5).

Detective Lens

  • Weight now 0.02 Stones.

Mount Tokens

Unicorn Mount Token

  • Now has special Sounds and Effects on summon (max once per 30s).

Skeletal Mount Token

  • Now has special Sounds and Effects on summon (max once per 30s).

Smuggler NPCs

  • Fixed price on Blank Scroll commodities.

Alchemy

  • Greater Poison Potion and Deadly Poison Potions now have crafting options for Bundles of 25.

Inscription

Martial Manuals

  • Reduced Leather/Boards needed to craft.
  • Adjusted Societies Job target amounts.

Material Spellbooks

  • Reduced Leather/Boards needed to craft.
  • Adjusted Society Job target amounts.

House Boats

  • Fixed issue preventing ship launch from Courtyard areas on certain House Boats.

Runebooks and Runetomes

  • Can now Restyle (Rotate) via Shift-click -> "Restyle" in backpack. (Note: This functionality was removed later in Patch 23.03.27)

Town Struggles

  • Fixed issue preventing players at bottom of list from being voted MVP.

Rental Rooms

  • Becoming a Murderer no longer changes Default Town.
  • Rooms currently set to Corpse Creek switched to Prevalia.
  • Murderers exiting Rental Room teleported to Corpse Creek Inn.

Decorative Wizard's Satchels

  • Purchasable from Prevalian Merchant ("Clothing" category).
  • Decorative ONLY, not containers.
  • Occupy Outer Body layer, treated as Clothing (can be Blessed).

Weapon Specials

  • Fixed issue: Melee Special Chance/Damage Mastery Chain Link not providing full Special Damage bonus.
  • Fixed issue: Discpline Armor bonus to Bleed for Weapon Specials not calculating correctly.

Weapon Finishers

  • Fixed issue: Fencing Assassinate Finisher not properly utilizing Poison/Disease Ticks to boost Damage fully.

Atlas Books

  • Graphics overhauled.
