Liftlock is an item security feature introduced in the Outlands Patch April 2, 2025 that allows players to toggle whether certain valuable items can be picked up (lifted) from their backpack or paperdoll. This helps prevent accidentally dropping or moving these items.
How it Works
- Players can Shift+Click an eligible item either in their backpack or (for some items like Mastery Chains) while equipped.
- Select "Enable Liftlock" from the context menu to activate the protection.
- Select "Disable Liftlock" to allow the item to be lifted normally again.
- While Liftlock is Enabled, attempting to lift the item from the backpack or paperdoll will fail.
- The player will receive a system message indicating that the item is liftlocked.
Supported Items
As of its introduction, the Liftlock feature is available on:
- Mastery Chains (can be toggled while in backpack or equipped)
- Adventurer's Satchels (can be toggled while in backpack)
Support for other items may be added in future patches.
