Players will encounter Time Relics as loot inside of Time Dungeon. Previously, these relics would decay if removed from Time Dungeon, but as of the Outlands Patch April 2, 2025, they no longer decay and can be stored anywhere. Their loot chance has been slightly reduced as part of this change.

Each relic has unique properties and a limited number of uses before it decays completely. Details can be viewed by shift-clicking the relic and selecting the "Description" entry. Players can craft a Time Dungeon Satchel to reduce the weight and item count of stored relics, making it easier to carry multiple relics at once.

Time Relic Usage

To use a Time Relic, players must double-click it. Each relic has its own individual cooldown period after use, preventing that specific relic from being used again immediately (the duration is listed in its description).

Additionally, players can only activate one Time Relic of any type every 60 seconds (this is separate from both individual relic cooldowns and the new Global Cooldowns on restricted relics).

If a player attempts to use another relic of the same type before its individual cooldown expires, the activation will fail.

Time Relics

Note: As of Outlands Patch April 2, 2025, several Time Relics are now considered "Restricted" and are subject to global cooldowns, as detailed in the section below.

The different types of Time Relics players can encounter in Time Dungeon are as follows:

Restricted Relics and Global Cooldowns

As of the Outlands Patch April 2, 2025, a number of Time Relics are now considered Restricted. Activating a Restricted relic triggers an additional Global Cooldown mechanic, identical to the one applied to Restricted Time Runes.

  • This prevents any player from activating the same Relic type within a 50 tile radius of the original activation location for the next 2 minutes.
  • A visible Cooldown Marker is placed at the activation spot. Players can single-click this marker to see the Relic type on cooldown and the remaining time.
  • Attempting to activate a Restricted Relic while a Global Cooldown for that type is active nearby will fail, and the player will receive a system message indicating the cooldown and its originating location. The Relic will not consume a charge if activation fails due to a Global Cooldown.

The following Time Relics are now Restricted and trigger Global Cooldowns:

  • Brace of Knives
  • Barrel of Filth
  • Bomb Cluster
  • Divination Orb
