Summary

The Mace Fighting skill allows the use of slow-hitting blunt weapons.

  • Mace-class weapons cannot be Poisoned.
  • In PvP, maces drain an opponent's stamina at a +25% rate compared to other weapon types.
  • The chance to hit with a mace-class weapon is calculated as:
 (Attacker's Mace Fighting Skill + 50) / ((Defender's Weapon or Wrestling Skill + 50) * 2) + Relevant Accuracy Bonuses
  • As a secondary weapon skill:
    • PvM: Increases Base Weapon Damage by (25% * Skill / 100).
    • PvP: Reduced to (10% * Skill / 100).

PvM Special Attack

  • Only works against creatures, not players.
  • Players have a 10% base chance to inflict a Special Attack against creatures.
  • The chance can be increased through:
  • Special Attack effects:
    • Increases damage dealt by the attack that generated the special by 50%.
    • Pierces the target for 8-16 seconds (reduces the target’s Effective Armor Value by 25).
    • If the creature has an Effective Armor Rating of 0 or is at its Armor Minimum, the Special Attack damage increases by an additional 50%.
  • Effect duration scales based on:
    • Weapon speed (slower maces have longer effect durations).
    • Creature difficulty.

Mace Fighting Weapons

Mace-class weapons can be crafted with Blacksmithy or Carpentry, depending on the material type, or purchased from NPC vendors.
