Summary

Swordsmanship allows the use of bladed weapons with a swing speed between the faster Fencing weapons and slower Macing weapons.

  • All one-handed swords can be poisoned using the Poisoning skill.
    • However, axes and two-handed swords cannot be poisoned.
  • The chance to hit with a sword-class weapon is calculated as:
 (Player's Swordsmanship skill + 50) / ((Defender's Weapon or Wrestling skill + 50) * 2) + any relevant accuracy bonuses.
  • Increases Base Weapon Damage by (25% * Skill / 100) as a secondary weapon skill (when using another weapon skill) in PvM.
  • Reduced to Base Weapon Damage by (10% * Skill / 100) as a secondary weapon skill (when using another weapon skill) in PvP.

PvM Special Attack

  • Only works against creatures, not other players.
  • Players have a 10% base chance of inflicting a Swords Weapon Special Attack against creatures.
  • This chance can be further increased via:
  • Swords Weapon Specials apply a stackable Lacerate & Bleed Effect on the target.

Lacerate Effect

  • Increases the chance for you and your allies to apply weapon special effects to the target.
  • Applies a stackable 8% Lacerate Effect to the target that lasts 8-16 seconds (scaled by weapon speed).
  • Maximum Lacerate Effect is 24%.

Bleed Effect

  • Causes the target to suffer a total amount of Bleed damage equal to (150% of Damage From Hit).
  • Bleed damage is applied in ticks occurring every 3 seconds for 15 seconds, with each tick inflicting 20% of the total Bleed damage.
    • This means the total Bleed damage resolves over 15 seconds.

Weapon Ability Spinslash For next 15 seconds accuracy, damage, and weapon special chance increased by 15%
Weapon Ability Rend Immediately resolve all remaining bleed ticks player has on target and for next 15 seconds new weapon special bleed effects are increased by 25% damage
