Brewing

Players can undertake a Brewing process to create consumable items. Currently, Brewing is limited to Cleansing Brew (x10), but it will later be expanded to include additional craftable items. The brewing process involves growing Hops and Barley, using a Brewing Kettle, and transferring the mixture to a Brewing Cask before collecting the final product.

Brewing Process for Cleansing Brews

Hops and Barley

To create Cleansing Brew (x10), players must first grow Hops Seed into Hops and Barley Seed into Barley. Hops Seed and Barley Seed can be found as loot while engaging in Resource Maps (Ore Map, Lumber Map, Skinning Map, and Fishing Map) and from loot in Trade Caravans.

These seeds must be planted in any type of Plant Bowl and grown using the normal plant-growing process. Once fully grown, players can extract Hops and Barley from their respective plants to use in brewing.

Brewing Kettle

Players will need access to a Brewing Kettle, which can be crafted using the Blacksmithy skill. The Brewing Kettle must be locked down in a house to be used. Double-clicking a Brewing Kettle opens the Brewing Kettle Menu, where players can see the current recipe being worked on. At present, the only available recipe is for 10 Cleansing Brews, but additional recipes will be introduced in future updates.

The menu also displays the remaining steps in the recipe. If the current step requires player interaction, a Blue Button will appear, which when clicked, allows the player to take the necessary action—typically adding an ingredient from their backpack. When the player reaches the step "Transfer Mixture to Brewing Cask," they must have a Brewing Cask locked down within 4 tiles of the Brewing Kettle.

Brewing Cask

Players must craft Brewing Casks using the Carpentry skill. Brewing Casks must be locked down in a house to function. Since many recipes require transferring a mixture from the Brewing Kettle to the Brewing Cask, it is recommended to place the cask within 4 tiles of the Brewing Kettle for convenience.

Double-clicking a Brewing Cask opens the Brewing Cask Menu, which functions similarly to the Brewing Kettle menu. The current recipe is displayed at the top, followed by the remaining steps below. Players will see Blue Buttons for any required interactions. Once players reach the "Collect Items" step, they can finalize the brewing process and collect their completed item(s).

Using Cleansing Brew

Cleansing Brew is consumed by double-clicking it. When used, it reduces all Bleed and Disease effects on the player by 75%. There is a 2-minute cooldown between uses to prevent excessive consumption.
