Outlands offers numerous player-crafted PvM progression items linked to specific skills that significantly enhance the performance of certain builds. These items follow a few core principles:

All codex and progression items are blessed and cannot be stolen. The experience tied to codex and progression items is associated with the character rather than the item itself. These items are freely tradeable and can be sold to other characters; however, the experience does not transfer along with them.

As long as a player meets the minimum requirement of 80 printed skill and carries the corresponding codex or progression item, they can utilize multiple codices or progression items simultaneously, such as combining a Codex of Fencing with a Poison Kit. Players can gain full experience for multiple codices or progression items in parallel. The associated bonuses from these items will be applied as long as any listed conditional requirements are met, such as using the proper weapon, having a poisoned weapon, or remaining stationary.

Adventurer's Satchel

The Adventurer's Satchel is a useful tool for organizing all blessed items players can carry. It is itself blessed and can only contain other blessed items. The satchel is crafted by Tailors using 5 Mastercrafting Diagram and 100 Leather.

Bard Codex

Players need at least 80 printed skill in at least two barding skills—Musicianship, Peacemaking, Discordance, or Provocation—to utilize the benefits of the Bard Codex. There are eight different Bard Codex upgrades, which can be activated at Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3. The tier levels are visually indicated by a number of lutes next to the upgrade.

By earning experience, players unlock Bard Codex Upgrade Points, with a maximum cap of 20 Upgrade Points. Players can reset their spent points once every five minutes. The Bard Codex is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.

Healer's Codex

The Healers Codex requires at least 80 printed skill in Healing and Anatomy to be used. It features eight different upgrade paths, each with three tiers, identified by the number of bandages displayed next to the upgrade.

Players accumulate experience to unlock Healers Codex Upgrade Points, with a cap of 20 points. Spent points can be reset once every five minutes. The Healers Codex is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.

Poison Kit

To utilize the Poison Kit, players need at least 80 Poisoning and either 80 Taste Identification or 80 Alchemy. There are eight different Poison Kit upgrades available, each with three tiers marked by poison potion icons.

Players unlock Poison Kit Upgrade Points as they gain experience. If a player has no active poison effects on creatures, they can reset their spent points. The Poison Kit is crafted by Alchemists using 1 Mastercrafting Diagram, 50 Boards, and 25 Empty Bottles.

Potion Codex

The Potion Codex requires at least 80 Alchemy for use. It features eight upgrades, each divided into three tiers. As players gain experience, they unlock Potion Codex Upgrade Points.

A reset option is available every five minutes. The Potion Codex is crafted by Scribes using 1 Mastercrafting Diagram and 25 Arcane Scrolls.

Summoner's Tome

The Summoner's Tome requires at least 80 Spirit Speaking and 80 Magery. Players gain experience by killing creatures with their summoned entities. Experience accumulates as points in the tome, which can be spent to enhance summons.

Each summon spell has ten different upgrade options, each requiring Upgrade Points to activate. The Summoner's Tome is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.

Taming Bestiary

The Taming Bestiary is a progression system for Animal Taming, rewarding players for using different tameable creatures. Players earn Affinity Experience by defeating monsters with their tamed creatures. Accumulated Affinity Points unlock permanent character bonuses.

The system automatically tracks progress for creatures with a minimum taming requirement of 50 or higher. The bestiary is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.

Thieves Codex

The Thieves Codex requires at least 80 Stealing and either 80 Snooping, Hiding, or Stealth. Players gain experience through pilfering and mugging creatures, unlocking Upgrade Points.

Upgrade Points can be reset once every five minutes. The codex is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.

Trap Kit

The Trap Kit requires at least 80 Tinkering and 80 Detecting Hidden. It offers eight upgrade paths with three tiers each.

Players earn experience to unlock Upgrade Points, which can be reset if no traps are currently placed. The Trap Kit is crafted by Tinkers using 1 Mastercrafting Diagram, 25 Iron, and 25 Leather.

Weapon and Parry Codices

There are eight Weapon and Parry Codices, each linked to a specific combat skill. Players need at least 80 Tactics and the relevant weapon skill to use a weapon codex, while parry codices require 80 Parrying and either Tactics or Wrestling.

Each codex features stances and finishers, which gain ranks through experience. The codex is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.

Wizard's Grimoire

The Wizard's Grimoire requires at least 80 Magery and either 80 Meditation or 80 Evaluating Intelligence. It features 16 spells that can be enhanced using Wizardry Points, with a cap of 50 points.

Resets are available every five minutes. The grimoire is crafted by Scribes using 25 Arcane Scrolls and 1 Mastercrafting Diagram.
