== Mount Gear Hues ==
Each Mount Gear slot (except for Saddles) has its own '''collection of available hues'''.

==Mount Gear Hues==
* By default, players have access to:
* With the exception of Saddles, each Mount Gear slot has its own individual collection of Hues that can be Unlocked and selected from for that gear
  * '''Hue 0''' (default)
* All Mount Gear slots begin with Hue 0 unlocked as well the Faction Hue for each Faction (Andaria, Cambria, Prevalia, and Terran)
  * '''Faction Hues''' for each Faction (Andaria, Cambria, Prevalia, and Terran)
* Players can select which Hue to display for a Mount Gear slot by using the Left/Right arrows

* Click the '''"Add"''' button next to the desired Mount Gear slot.
* To unlock a hue for a Mount Gear slot, players must click the "Add" button next to it and then target a Mount Gear Dye in their backpack
* Target a '''Mount Gear Dye''' in the player's backpack.
* Targeting the Mount Gear Dye will consume it, and permanently add the Hue to the Unlocked Hues collection list for that specific Mount Gear slot
* The dye will be consumed, and the hue will be added to the '''Unlocked Hues''' collection for that specific slot.
* Players can unlock and add Hues to Mount Gear Slots even if they have not yet installed that slot's required Mount Gear item

Players can unlock hues for Mount Gear slots '''even if they have not yet installed that gear item'''. However, once a hue has been added, '''it cannot be removed'''.

[[File:mounttackdye1.png|link=]]

<i>'''Note:''' Once a hue has been added to an Unlocked Hues collection for a Mount Gear slot, players cannot remove the hue from the collection.</i>
Each Mount Gear slot has an independent collection of unlocked hues, meaning players must unlock a hue '''for each slot separately''' to achieve a '''full set''' of a specific color.

* As mentioned previously, each Mount Gear slot has its own individual collection of unlocked hues, so players wishing for a "full set" of a specific hue will need to add that Mount Gear Dye to each of the 5 dyeable Mount Gear Slots available

* Clicking the '''"New Loadout"''' button creates a new configuration.
* Players can have up to 25 different Loadouts, and they can create a new one by clicking the "New Loadout" button
* Whenever a player rides a mount with a '''Mount Tack''' in their backpack, the mount will automatically apply the current Loadout settings.
* Whenever a player begins to ride a valid mount with a Mount Tack in their backpack, the mount will customize itself based on the player's current Loadout
* Players can navigate between Loadouts using the '''Left/Right''' buttons.
* Players can click the Left/Right buttons next to "Loadout" to navigate between their current Loadouts
* Clicking '''"Delete"''' removes the current Loadout. If only one Loadout exists, deleting it will reset all Mount Gear slots to '''Hue 0''' with "Show" toggled off.

Summary

Mount Gear is a unique Faction Reward Item that players can purchase using Faction Silver. The Mount Gear System allows players to customize their mounts with decorative elements, including:

  • Head Barding
  • Neck Barding
  • Body Barding
  • Caparisons
  • Saddle Pads
  • Saddles

Currently, Mount Gear is only compatible with Horse and Llama mounts. However, future expansions may include support for other mount types such as Ostards.

Mount Gear works with both Tamed/Bonded Mounts and those summoned via Mount Tokens. These customizations are purely cosmetic and provide no combat benefits.

Mount Tack

To use Mount Gear, players must first acquire a Mount Tack, which can be purchased with Faction Silver from the Factions Reward Menu.

  • Mount Tacks are Blessed and serve as the central tool for managing Mount Gear.
  • Players can access the Mount Tack Menu by double-clicking the Mount Tack in their backpack.
  • Each Mount Tack has six slots for different Mount Gear pieces:
 * Head Barding
 * Neck Barding
 * Body Barding
 * Caparison
 * Saddle Pad
 * Saddle
  • By default, a new Mount Tack is empty. Players must purchase and install Mount Gear items into it.

Installing Mount Gear

Players can obtain Mount Gear items such as Head Barding, Neck Barding, and other components from the Factions Reward Menu using Faction Silver.

To install Mount Gear:

  • Double-click the Mount Gear item in the backpack.
  • Target a Mount Tack (also in the backpack).
  • The installed item will now appear in the Mount Tack menu, replacing the "Missing" status.

Once installed, Mount Gear remains permanently in the Mount Tack, even if the player's mount dies or is unsummoned. Players can never lose installed Mount Gear. However, Mount Gear can be removed and returned to the player's backpack using the Remove button.

Displaying Mount Gear

When a player has a Mount Tack in their backpack and rides a mount:

  • Any installed Mount Gear marked as "Show" will automatically appear on that mount.
  • Players do not need to have the Mount Tack Menu open—just having the Mount Tack in their backpack is sufficient.

Dismounting

If a player dismounts a mount that is displaying Mount Gear:

  • The visual representation of the Mount Gear will disappear.
  • Installed Mount Gear remains permanently in the player's Mount Tack, even if the mount dies or is unsummoned.

Mount Gear Hues

Each Mount Gear slot (except for Saddles) has its own collection of available hues.

  • By default, players have access to:
 * Hue 0 (default)
 * Faction Hues for each Faction (Andaria, Cambria, Prevalia, and Terran)
  • Players can change the hue of their Mount Gear using the Left/Right arrows in the Mount Tack menu.
  • When a player rides their mount, the selected hues will be applied automatically.
  • Faction Hue restriction: If a player is not an active member of a Faction, any selected Faction Hue will be replaced with Hue 0.

Mount Gear Dyes

Players can further customize their Mount Gear using Mount Gear Dyes, which allow players to permanently unlock hues for individual Mount Gear slots.

To unlock a hue:

  • Click the "Add" button next to the desired Mount Gear slot.
  • Target a Mount Gear Dye in the player's backpack.
  • The dye will be consumed, and the hue will be added to the Unlocked Hues collection for that specific slot.

Players can unlock hues for Mount Gear slots even if they have not yet installed that gear item. However, once a hue has been added, it cannot be removed.

Each Mount Gear slot has an independent collection of unlocked hues, meaning players must unlock a hue for each slot separately to achieve a full set of a specific color.

Loadouts

The Loadout system allows players to save and switch between different Mount Gear configurations.

  • Players can save up to 25 Loadouts.
  • Clicking the "New Loadout" button creates a new configuration.
  • Whenever a player rides a mount with a Mount Tack in their backpack, the mount will automatically apply the current Loadout settings.
  • Players can navigate between Loadouts using the Left/Right buttons.
  • Clicking "Delete" removes the current Loadout. If only one Loadout exists, deleting it will reset all Mount Gear slots to Hue 0 with "Show" toggled off.

Acquiring Mount Gear Dyes

Mount Gear Dyes can be obtained from multiple sources, categorized as follows:

  • **PvP Events:** Town Struggles, Corpse Creek Contest (Reward Purchase)
  • **PvP General:** "Legacy Faction" Hues (Order, Chaos, Balance) (Reward Purchase)
  • **Strangelands:** Reward Purchase
  • **Societies:** Reward Purchase
  • **Aspect Dyes:** Craftable
  • **Ore Hue Dyes:** Craftable
  • **Dungeon Hues:** Loot Drop
  • **Thieves Guild:** Black Goods
  • **Shimmer Hues:** Prevalia Market

Note: Certain systems, such as the Arena, do not currently offer Mount Gear Dyes due to rendering issues. This may be addressed in the future.

      1. Purchased Mount Gear Dyes

Players can purchase Mount Gear Dyes from various Reward Systems such as Societies. Additionally, when a Shimmer Hue is introduced to the Prevalia Market, a corresponding Mount Gear Dye may be made available.

      1. Craftable Mount Gear Dyes

Players can craft Aspect Hue and Ore Hue Mount Gear Dyes using the Blacksmithing skill under the Mount Gear Dyes category.

  • Crafting a Mount Gear Dye typically requires:
 * Aspect Triumphs

  • Dyes are crafted in bundles of 5 instead of 1, allowing players to create a full matching set at once.

Faction Mount Tokens

Players can purchase Faction Mount Tokens, similar to those offered by other reward systems such as the Arena, Societies, and PvP Events. These tokens are available for:

  • Horse
  • Llama
