The Sanctuary Dungeon is a "protected" dungeon where players cannot commit Criminal Actions. Each Friday Night Reset, one of the core dungeons will be randomly selected as the Sanctuary Dungeon for the upcoming week. As a trade-off for this protection, Loot Drops and Experience earned in the Sanctuary Dungeon will be reduced by 50%.
Additionally, Urukton Bluffs and Ratman Hovel are permanently designated as Sanctuary Dungeons. Any griefing actions within these dungeons are against the rules and should be reported using the in-game ticket system.
Sanctuary Dungeon Mechanics
Inside Sanctuary Dungeons, players cannot commit Criminal Actions, and Murderers are unable to enter. If a dungeon is designated as a Sanctuary Dungeon during the Friday Night Reset, any Murderers inside will be ejected to Corpse Creek.
The Gold Value of creatures within Sanctuary Dungeons, which determines Loot and Experience, is reduced by 50%. Additionally, players cannot Mine in these dungeons, and Skinning yields are also reduced by 50%. Reveal spells cannot be used to expose other players inside a Sanctuary Dungeon. As with all locations, AFK farming is strictly prohibited.
Viewing the Sanctuary Dungeon
The current Sanctuary Dungeon is always displayed at the top of the Region Bonuses menu, which players can access by double-clicking any "Region Bonus Board" near a Bank in town.
Alternatively, players can also view the current Sanctuary Dungeon from any Donation Map inside a house, which can be purchased from the Prevalia Market.
Guild Favors
Guilds cannot activate Guild Favors inside a Sanctuary Dungeon. If a Guild Favor is already active when a dungeon is designated as a Sanctuary Dungeon, and has 50% or more of its duration remaining, the favor will be refunded to the guild.
Bosses, Mini-Bosses, and Contested Spawns
When a Contested Boss spawns inside a Sanctuary Dungeon, players will flag Orange to each other, as is standard at any Contested Boss Spawn. Similarly, when a Guild summons a Boss, all players inside the Boss Room will flag Orange to each other, following the same rules as any other Summoned Boss.
As with all creatures in the Sanctuary Dungeon, Boss Loot will be halved.
