Tactics

The Tactics skill modifies weapon damage for all melee and ranged weapons. Its effects scale with skill level, providing increasing benefits as a player's Tactics skill improves.

Mechanics

From 0 to 100, the additional damage per attack is calculated as:

Base Weapon Damage * (-50% + (Tactics Skill / 200))

For values above 100, the additional damage is determined by:

Base Weapon Damage * (1% * (Tactics Skill - 100))

Damage Calculation Examples

Example 1: Player with 110 Tactics

For a player with 110 Tactics and a Base Weapon Damage roll of 25:

  1. Calculate the 0 to 100 portion, treating Tactics as 100:
  25 * (-50% + (100 / 200)) = 0
  1. Add the bonus for Tactics above 100:
  25 * (1% * 10) = 2.5
  1. The final hit, assuming no other bonuses, is 27.5 damage.

Example 2: Player with 50 Tactics

For a player with 50 Tactics and a Base Weapon Damage roll of 25: 1. Calculate the 0 to 100 portion:

  25 * (-50% + (50 / 200)) = -6.25

2. Since Tactics is below 100, no additional bonus is applied. 3. The final hit, assuming no other bonuses, is 18.75 damage.
