Players can craft a Summoner's Tome using the Inscription skill, which enhances summons in PvM. These tomes are Blessed items and require a minimum of 80 Magery and 80 Spirit Speak to use.
Similar to Aspect Gear, every player has a permanent Summoner Profile stored per character, which cannot be lost. Players can access their Summoner Profile by double-clicking a Summoner's Tome in their backpack. If a Summoner’s Tome is lost, crafting a new one allows access to the same profile with no loss of progress.
Players will be notified upon opening a Summoner's Tome if they do not meet the required skill levels to utilize it.
Summoner's Tome Menu
Players can access their Summoner Profile through the Summoner's Tome Menu by double-clicking any Summoner's Tome in their backpack. While 80 Magery and 80 Spirit Speak are required to receive its benefits, any player may view their profile regardless of skill levels.
The Overview Page displays all eight summoning spells, showing each spell’s Points Unlocked and Upgrade Progress. Players can navigate to an individual spell’s page by clicking the diamond button next to the spell’s entry. Navigation buttons at the bottom of the menu allow players to switch between spells or return to the Overview Page.
Spell Upgrade Progress
Players with at least 80 Magery and 80 Spirit Speaking and a Summoner's Tome in their backpack earn Upgrade Progress towards summon spells. When using summons in combat against non-tamed/non-summoned creatures, they gain Upgrade Progress in a manner similar to Aspect Experience and Mastery Chains.
Progress amounts are determined by the Gold Value of defeated creatures and the player's Damage Percent contribution. If a player uses a single summon type, all Upgrade Progress goes to that spell. If multiple summon types are used, progress is divided evenly among them.
Players can configure how Summoner Upgrade Progress is displayed in: Paperdoll → Help → Commands → Text Displays → [ShowSummonersTomeExperience].
Upgrade Progress can be viewed on the Summoner Tome Overview Page or within individual spell pages.
Unlocking Upgrade Points
When a player reaches 100% Upgrade Progress for a spell, they unlock an Upgrade Point for that spell. A system message and sound effect notify the player upon unlocking a point. The total Upgrade Points unlocked for each spell appear next to the spell’s icon on the Overview Page.
Each summon spell can accumulate up to 20 Upgrade Points, regardless of Spirit Speak skill level. These points function similarly to Codex-like items that only require a minimum skill level for full benefits.
Summoner's Tome Upgrades
Each summon type has eight unique upgrades, which can be enhanced to three different tiers.
- Tier 1 costs 1 Upgrade Point
- Tier 2 costs 3 Upgrade Points
- Tier 3 costs 6 Upgrade Points
Players can reset their spent points for a spell using the Reset Points button, provided no active followers from that spell are currently summoned.
Each upgrade grants unique bonuses and abilities to the player's summoned creatures. Players can click the Info button to view descriptions of each upgrade, which display bonuses in a (X% / Y% / Z%) format.
