The Wrestling skill allows players to attack and defend while unarmed or using specialized Wrestling weapons. It provides both offensive and defensive bonuses, particularly useful for spellcasters or melee fighters without conventional weapons.
Mechanics
The chance to hit with an unarmed attack and avoid spellcasting interrupts is calculated as:
(Attacker's Wrestling Skill + 50) / ((Defender's Weapon or Wrestling Skill + 50) * 2) + Relevant Accuracy Bonuses
Base damage values for unarmed Wrestling attacks:
- Against creatures: 2-8
- Against players: 1-4
- Attack speed: 50
PvM Bonuses
Wrestling provides several combat advantages when fighting creatures
Secondary Weapon Skill Bonus:
25% * (Wrestling Skill / 100) bonus to Base Weapon Damage.
Mana Refund Bonus:
15% * (Wrestling Skill / 100) chance to refund mana when casting spells.
Two-Handed Wrestling Weapon Bonus:
Wrestling weapons receive a +20% Melee Damage bonus against creatures.
Spellcaster Defense:
Unarmed wrestlers (or those holding a spellbook) can defend against melee attacks while casting spells.
PvM Weapon Special Attack
- Only applies against creatures (not players).
- Base chance of 10% to trigger a Special Attack.
- Chance can be increased by:
* Arms Lore * Water Aspect Armor * Mastery Chain Links
When a Special Attack is triggered with a Wrestling weapon:
- Damage increases by 150%.
- The target suffers a Stagger Effect:
* Stagger effect: 15% per hit, lasting 8-16 seconds (scaled by weapon speed). * Can stack up to 45%. * Increases damage from Weapon Specials, Weapon Abilities, and Weapon Finishers.

Wrestling weapons are crafted using either Inscription or Tailoring and can also be purchased from NPCs.

PvP Mechanics
- Wrestling weapons can be disarmed. When disarmed, the player deals only 1-2 damage per hit.
- Wrestling weapons are not allowed in Arena Duels or Tournaments.
- Damage from Wrestling weapons in PvP scales based on a player's raw Dexterity (without adjustments from potions or buffs):

Wrestling Codex
- Wrestling benefits from Stances and Finishers via a Wrestling Codex.
- The Wrestling Codex only applies to Wrestling weapons (not unarmed combat).
- Switching to a new stance costs 3 mana.
- For the first 10 seconds after activating a stance, its effects are dramatically increased (Stance Adoption period).
- Players are encouraged to rotate stances every 10 seconds for maximum effectiveness, requiring mana regeneration strategies.
