On Outlands, most creatures that drop loot have a small chance to spawn as a Paragon variant of their base form. The estimated spawn rate for Paragon creatures is approximately 1 in 400. While Paragon creatures retain the same general abilities as their base counterparts, they feature a massively increased hit point pool, making them significantly more challenging to defeat.
Unlike traditional Ultima Online Paragons, Outlands Paragons do not have a golden hue. Instead, they are identified by a [Paragon] tag displayed above their name.
Paragon Chests
When slain, all Paragon creatures will drop a Paragon Chest, which comes in three different tiers: Lesser Paragon Chest, Paragon Chest, and Greater Paragon Chest. The contents of each chest vary in loot quantity, with Greater Paragon Chests offering the highest rewards.
Upon initial looting, a Paragon Chest will be marked as (sealed) and will appear to contain no loot, weighing only 1 stone. To access the chest’s contents, players must successfully Lockpick the chest. Once lockpicked, the chest will fill with its intended loot, which will also increase the weight of the chest.
The process of earning Gold Progress from unlocking Paragon Chests remains unchanged and functions as it always has on the server.
