Runebook

A Runebook is a useful tool that allows players to store and organize runes for quick and easy travel. Instead of carrying multiple individual runes, players can place them inside a Runebook, making it a more efficient way to manage travel locations.

Runebooks are crafted using the Inscription skill and can store up to 16 runes. In addition to runes, a Runebook can also hold up to 10 Recall Scrolls, allowing players to cast Recall directly from the book without needing reagents. This makes travel more convenient, especially for those who rely on Recall spells frequently.

By default, Runebooks are not blessed, meaning they can be lost if a player is defeated. However, players can purchase a Runebook Bless Deed from the Prevalian Merchant, which permanently blesses the book. Once blessed, the Runebook will no longer drop on death and cannot be stolen, making it a valuable investment for adventurers.

Casting Spells from a Runebook

A Runebook allows players to cast Recall and Gate Travel spells directly from the book, provided they have the necessary scrolls or Magery skill. Using a Recall Scroll from a Runebook requires no Magery skill, making it accessible to all players. However, casting Gate Travel from a Runebook requires at least 50 Magery, making it more limited in accessibility.

Decorative Runebooks

In addition to their practical use, Runebooks can also serve as decorative items inside player houses. Using the Interior Decorator tool, players can rotate their Runebooks into decorative forms, allowing them to be displayed on shelves, tables, or other furnishings.

Despite being placed as decorations, these Runebooks remain fully functional, meaning players can still access stored runes and use them for travel. This feature allows players to personalize their home setups while maintaining access to their travel locations.
