Chill Effect

From Fiend's Outlands Wiki
Revision as of 08:02, 9 March 2025 by Fiend (talk | contribs) (→‎Example)

The Chill effect is a combat mechanic that applies a debuff to a target, granting specific combat bonuses to the source of the effect. When a target is affected by a Chill effect, the player and their followers will receive increased damage bonuses and damage resistance against that target.

Chill effects from multiple sources, including both players and their followers, will stack together against the same target. The total Chill effect determines the strength of the bonuses applied.

The benefits of the Chill effect are:

  • Increased Damage: The player and their followers receive a damage bonus against the target equal to the total Chill effect amount.
  • Increased Damage Resistance: The player and their followers gain a damage resistance bonus equal to half of the total Chill effect amount against the target.

Example

If a player and their followers collectively apply a 20% Chill effect to a target:

  • They will deal +20% increased damage to the target.
  • They will receive +10% damage resistance against the target.
