Netherzone

From Fiend's Outlands Wiki

Areas that exist as instanced sections of the map generally fall under the Netherzone region. These areas currently include the Omni Realms, Pit Trials, Field of Souls, Graveyard Bash, Winterlands, Jawbreaker, and Stalag Grotto. These regions provide unique mechanics, progression, and rewards that distinguish them from traditional dungeons and wilderness areas.

Slayers and Region Bonuses

Players will now be able to find Netherzone Slayer weapons, spellbooks, and instruments as loot items. Additionally, Mastery Chain Links can be reforged into Netherzone Damage links, which provide the same bonus amounts as Wilderness Links but only function within Omni Lair and Pit Trial regions. Conversely, Wilderness Slayer and Mastery Chain bonuses will no longer apply in these Netherzone areas.

Unlike other regions, Netherzones do not receive Weekly Server Region Bonuses, nor will players find Guild Favors for these areas. These adjustments ensure that Netherzones remain distinct, requiring specific gear and strategies to maximize effectiveness.

Loot

A unique Netherzone Dungeon Hue (Hue 1500) has been introduced, allowing players to encounter loot items such as Dyes, Cloth, and Spell Hues that feature this coloration. Additionally, during seasonal events, players may discover Netherzone Holiday Items, including special lanterns and decorations that match the region’s aesthetic.

Players will also have the opportunity to collect Netherzone Plant Seeds, which can be grown similarly to existing Dungeon Plants, providing another layer of customization and rewards within these special zones.

Progression

Players can now complete Achievements specifically tied to slaying creatures in Netherzone regions, allowing for long-term progression within these instanced areas. Additionally, players can earn Redline Progress and collect Netherzone Trophies, further incentivizing repeated engagement with these unique environments.

It is important to note that there will not be Society jobs specifically dedicated to Netherzone activities, reinforcing the distinct nature of these regions compared to other areas of the game.

Wilderness Damage Mastery Chain Links

Players who possess existing Wilderness Damage Mastery Chain Links will have the option to convert them into Netherzone-compatible versions. This can be done by double-clicking the link and selecting the "Upgrade Link" button, allowing for greater flexibility in gear customization when engaging with Netherzone content.
