This page details changes to the Mastery Chain system introduced with the Wildlands Expansion (May 19, 2024).
Mastery Chains Menu Redesign
- The Mastery Chain menu interface has been updated.
Link Removal
- Remove Row button: Removes all Links in the currently selected row (requires double-click confirmation).
- Remove All button: Removes all installed Links (requires triple confirmation).
Corrupted Mastery Chain Links
Link Matching
- Corrupted Links can now be installed alongside Bronze, Silver, and Gold Links of the same Bonus Type (previously disallowed).
Link Expiration
- Corrupted Links no longer degrade with damage dealt.
- Instead, the first time installed, a Corrupted Link becomes Activated and Expires 90 days later.
- Remaining time displayed in the Mastery Chain Menu when navigating to the link.
- Activated links can be moved between chains but retain their original 90-day expiration timer.
- Activated Corrupted Links cannot be added to a Mastery Chain Link Tome.
- Expired links show a large "X" and display Link Expired. They provide no bonus and should be removed.
- Removing an Expired Corrupted Link automatically Decays (deletes) the link with a sound and notification.
Mastery Chain Link Adjustments
Values for existing Mastery Chain Links have been adjusted as follows:
- Melee Special Chance:
- Bronze: +2.0% (was 1.0%)
- Silver: +2.5% (was 1.25%)
- Gold: +3.0% (was 1.5%)
- Corrupted: +3.25% (was 1.625%)
- Melee Special Chance/Special Damage:
- Bronze: +1.75% (was 1.0%)
- Silver: +2.1875% (was 1.25%)
- Gold: +2.625% (was 1.5%)
- Corrupted: +2.875% (was 1.625%)
- Melee Damage:
- Bronze: +3.0% (was 1.75%)
- Silver: +3.75% (was 2.19%)
- Gold: +4.5% (was 2.62%)
- Corrupted: +4.875% (was 2.84%)
- Melee Damage/Ignore Armor Chance:
- Bronze: +2.5% (was 1.5%)
- Silver: +3.125% (was 1.88%)
- Gold: +3.75% (was 2.25%)
- Corrupted: +4.0625% (was 2.44%)
- Spell Damage:
- Bronze: +3.0% (was 1.75%)
