The Pawnbroker NPC, located in Prevalia east of the main bank, offers players two distinct services: recovering specific items that have decayed in their houses and consolidating Mastery Chains bound to their character.
Players can access the Pawnbroker's Pawn Shoppe menu by saying "Pawn", "Broker", or "Recover" near them, or by shift-clicking the NPC and selecting the "Search" context entry.
Recover Decayed House Items
Players are able to recover certain items that decay in their houses by paying a fee.
- To recover items using this service, players must be a character on the account of the House Owner from which the items decayed.
- Recoverable items will be available for up to 30 days after decay, after which they will be permanently deleted.
- Each recovered item has a fee of 25,000 Gold.
- Once recovered, items will be placed into the player's Bank Box. If the Bank Box has insufficient space, the items will be queued until space becomes available.
Recoverable Item Types (from Decay)
The following item types can currently be recovered from a Pawnbroker if they decayed in a house:

Recover Mastery Chains
Introduced in the Outlands Patch April 2, 2025, the Pawnbroker offers a separate mechanic to help players locate and consolidate all Mastery Chains bound to them. This is not related to item decay.
- Within the Pawnbroker menu, click the "Recover Mastery Chains" button.
- This action will search the entire game world for all existing Mastery Chains currently bound to your character.
- This includes chains currently equipped, in your bank box, or stored in containers anywhere.
- All located Mastery Chains bound to you will be immediately moved into your Backpack. Ensure you have space before using this feature.
- There is no fee associated with using the "Recover Mastery Chains" function.
- Note: An issue where this function would not remove the Locked Down status from chains retrieved from houses (making them unmovable in the backpack) has been fixed.
