Wildlands Expansion - Aspects

This page details the new Aspects (Arcane, Frost, Madness, Lightning) and changes to existing Aspects introduced with the Wildlands Expansion (May 19, 2024).

Aspect Gear Updates

Aspect Weapons

  • +10% Accuracy (was 0%)
  • +10 Tactics (was 0)

Aspect Spellbooks

  • +10% Mana Refund Chance (was 0%)
    • Bonus per Tier Level increased to +2% (was 1.5%)
  • +10% Spell Damage (was 0%)
    • Bonus per Tier Level increased to +2% (was 1.5%)

Aspect Armor

  • +20% Armor Rating base (was 0%)
    • Bonus per Tier Level changed to +5% (was 8%)

Aspect Support Items (Oils, Foci, Ammo) [Phased Out]

  • No longer provide bonuses. See #Aspect Crystals.
    • Previous Bonus: +25% Aspect Weapon/Spell Special Chance

Aspect Crystals

  • Replace Aspect Oils, Foci, Ammo
    • Provide Damage Bonus + Special Chance when consumed from backpack on Melee/Spell
    • Consumption rate matches old system
  • Crafted via Alchemy (Aspect Items category, in stacks of 2000)
  • Storable in Resource Stockpiles
  • Old items can be converted at Prevalia Exchange Officer (1 Crystal per Charge)

Arcane Aspect

Arcane Aspect Armor

  • Increase to Arcane Buildup Bonuses: (20% * (6% * Tier Level))
  • HP Recovered Per Mana Cost of Damaging Spell: Mana Cost * (10% * (3% * Tier Level))
    • In PvP: becomes Damage Resistance vs creatures = (3% * (1% * Tier Level))
  • Chance to Ignore Arcane Buildup Decay: (12% * (4% * Tier Level))

Arcane Aspect Weapon/Spellbook

  • Aspect Special Effect: Mana Thief:
    • Inflicts (500 + (50 * Tier Level)) damage divided among creatures within 3 tiles
    • Arcane Staff hits restore 10 Mana with (12% * (4% * Tier Level)) chance for 60s (can stack)

Frost Aspect

  • Focuses on Chill Effects for stacking damage bonuses

Frost Aspect Armor

  • Chill Effect Applied Per Damage: (.006% * (.002% * Tier Level)), lasts 5 min
    • Chill increases damage dealt by player/followers
  • Increase to Max Chill Effect: +8% + (0.8% * Tier Level) (base is 20%)
  • Frost Shell Cooldown: Prevents death below 50 HP for 5s; 30 - (1 * Tier Level) sec cooldown

Frost Aspect Weapon/Spellbook

  • Aspect Special Effect: Ice Blast:
    • Inflicts (600 + (60 * Tier Level)) damage to creatures within 6 tiles
    • Applies Chill: (6% * (0.6% * Tier Level)) for 5 min

Madness Aspect

  • High damage output, health cost mechanic

Madness Aspect Armor

  • Damage Bonus: (15% * (4% * Tier Level))
  • Chance per second to lose 5 HP after dealing damage: (3.0% * (1.0% * Tier Level)), lasts 30s
    • Health loss is unpreventable, ignores DR
    • Changing Aspect/Tier during duration uses highest Tier active

Madness Aspect Weapon/Spellbook

  • Aspect Special Effect: Mania:
    • Lose (7.5 + (1.5 * Tier Level)) health (unpreventable, ignores DR)
    • Inflicts (1100 + (110 * Tier Level)) damage within 4 tiles

Lightning Aspect

  • Arcing damage and Shock effect focus

Lightning Aspect Armor

  • Arc Chance on Melee/Spell: 7.5% + (2.5% * Tier Level), arcs within 6 tiles
    • Repeat chance 50%, cumulative 33% damage penalty per repeat
  • Shock Chance on Arc: 9% + (3.0% * Tier Level)
    • Shock: 3s entangle + 50% Player Damage for 5s
  • Volt Shield Cooldown: First hit triggers Shield: 1s hinder, 3s reduce damage to 1
    • Cooldown: 30 - (1 * Tier Level) sec

Lightning Aspect Weapon/Spellbook

  • Aspect Special Effect: Sky Bolt:
    • Inflicts (600 + (60 * Tier Level)) damage within 3 tiles
    • Chance to Shock: 9% + (3.0% * Tier Level)
  • Fixed bug with Shock damage not applying

Existing Aspects

Water Aspect

  • Old "Ice Storm" special moved to Frost
  • New Special: Tidal Boon

Water Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special

  • Aspect Special Effect: Tidal Boon:
    • Inflicts (700 + (70 * Tier Level)) damage within 4 tiles
    • Clears Poison, Bleed, Disease on Player and Followers nearby

Gadget Aspect

Gadget Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special

  • Triggers when detonating Ground Traps
    • Banked bonuses now stack
    • Crystal/Mastery Chain bonuses taken from equipped item on detonation

Gadget Aspect Armor

  • Trap Damage Bonus: 15% + (5% * Tier Level)
  • Trap Cooldown Reduction: 1.2s + (0.4s * Tier Level)
  • DR After Trap Detonation (15s): 5% + (1.5% * Tier Level)

Artisan Aspect

Artisan Aspect Armor

  • Crafting Skill Bonus from Worn Equipment: 30% + (10% * Tier Level)
  • Repair Kit Damage Boost (20 min): 2.0% + (0.75% * Tier Level)
  • Exceptional Crafting Chance: 5% + (1.5% * Tier Level)
    • Repair Kit bonus only applies if target stays within 50 tiles and Artisan Armor is active

Artisan Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special

  • Aspect Special Effect: Fortify:
    • Inflicts (500 + (50 * Tier Level)) damage
    • Grants +Damage/+DR (5% + (0.5% * Tier Level)) to friendly players in 12 tiles for 30s

Death Aspect

Death Aspect Armor

  • Effective Necromancy Bonus: 6 + (2 * Tier Level)
  • Chance for Bonus Unholy Symbol Tick: 20% + (4% * Tier Level)
  • Disease Chance on Melee/Spell: 5% + (1.5% * Tier Level)
    • Disease deals 50% of Hit/Spell damage every 5s for 20s

Death Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special

  • Aspect Special Effect: Decay:
    • Inflicts (1000 + (100 * Tier Level)) Disease over 20s
    • Prevents Undead Decay on your followers for 30s

Holy Aspect

Holy Aspect Armor

  • Effective Chivalry Bonus: 6 + (2 * Tier Level)
  • Chance for Bonus Holy Symbol Tick: 20% + (4% * Tier Level)
  • Holy Shield Chance (scaled): 7.5% + (2.5% * Tier Level)
    • Prevents 15 damage for 10s (no stack)

Holy Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special

  • Aspect Special Effect: Judgment:
    • Inflicts (600 + (60 * Tier Level)) damage
    • Applies Holy Shield to friendlies in 12 tiles: prevents (15 + (1.5 * Tier Level)) damage for 30s

Lyric Aspect

Lyric Aspect Armor

  • Effective Barding Bonus: 6 + (2 * Tier Level)
  • Damage Bonus to Barded Targets: 6% + (2% * Tier Level)
  • Bard Reset/Break Ignore Chance: 7.5% + (2.5% * Tier Level)
    • Each source checked independently, resolves separately

Earth Aspect

Earth Aspect Armor

  • Chance to Deal +250% Dmg on Melee/Spell: 5% + (1.5% * Tier Level)
  • DR While Stationary or Above 33% HP: 6% + (2% * Tier Level)
  • DR Cap Increase: 2% + (0.75% * Tier Level)

Void Aspect

Void Aspect Weapon/Spellbook Special

  • Aspect Special Effect: Claws of the Abyss:
    • Inflicts (600 + (60 * Tier Level)) damage to target
    • Player gains +Damage and +DR: (15% + (1.5% * Tier Level)) vs that target for 15s
