Outlands Patch March 27, 2023 is an update for Outlands.

This patch removes shift-click rotation for Runebooks/Runetomes, adjusts Factions participation cooldown, increases Waypost/Flag scoring potential, adds Guild Prestige gain for successful Flag Secures, introduces Combined Faction Score for IP-wide weekly rewards (Silver/Titles), fixes Escorting score bonuses, expands the Flag Purification zone, adds Waypost Activity Icons, includes a sound for Battle Commendation receipts, and introduces new Faction Rewards (Tunics, Lanterns, Banners) and Faction Town Banners.

Runebooks and Runetomes

• Shift-click Context entry to rotate Runebooks and Rune Tomes removed.

Factions

Participate in Factions

• Players can now change their Participate in Factions setting at most once every hour.

Wayposts

• Max Faction Score earnable from control increased to 75 (was unspecified, likely lower).
• Earn 1 War Aspect Experience per 3 Faction Score from Waypost Control (requires War Aspect unlocked).

Faction Flags

• Successful Flag Secure now grants 1 Guild Prestige to guilds with member(s) earning >= 100 Faction Score during the Steal+Purify+Secure process.
  • *(Note: Prestige gain not announced to guild).*

Combined Faction Score Totals

• During Tabula Rasa, Faction Silver and Title Tiers now determined by Combined Faction Score Total (sum of scores from all characters on player's IP Address/Accounts).

Faction Silver

• Earned based on Rank % of player's Combined Score compared to others *in their Faction* (max 10,000 still).
• Silver earned added ONLY to the Account of the character with the highest individual score that week ("primary" account). Other accounts show "0 Last Week Silver Earned".

Faction Titles

• Calculated weekly during Tabula Rasa based on Combined Score Total.
• Title applied to ALL characters used by the player during the week.
• `[ServerRank` for Factions remains for seasonal competition but no longer determines titles.

Escorting

• Fixed issue preventing bonus Faction Score for Escorting Flags during Purification and Securing phases.

Flag Purification

• Zone at Daemon Keep region expanded.

Activity Icons

• Faction Menu and Faction Hotbar now show Activity Icons next to Wayposts indicating last Control Tick action:
  • No Symbol: No activity.
  • Lock: 100% Control and Locked.
  • Dagger: Contested (Two Factions present).
  • Left Arrow: Lowering Control Progress.
  • Right Arrow: Raising Control Progress.
• `[FactionHotbar` also displays these icons.

Battle Commendations

• Sound now plays upon receiving a Battle Commendation from Factions activity.

Faction Rewards

Faction Tunics

• New clothing item purchasable with Faction Silver. Occupies Middle Torso layer.
• Can be Blessed. Cannot be Dyed.
• Can be Restyled (Shift-click in backpack -> "Restyle") into different Faction styles (Andaria, Cambria, Prevalia, Terran), each with unique visual and hue.
• Must be a Participant in the Tunic's set Faction to equip.

Faction Lanterns

• New lantern purchasable with Faction Silver. Occupies Two-Handed Secondary layer.
• Blessed by default.
• Can be Restyled (Shift-click in backpack -> "Restyle") into different Faction hues.
• Must be a Participant in the Lantern's set Faction to equip.

Decorative Banners

• Three types of Faction Decorative Banners purchasable (presumably with Faction Silver).
• Can be restyled for specific Faction and Facing (via double-click in backpack OR Interior Decorator "Rotate" when locked down).
• No Faction participation required to display any Faction banner in house.

Faction Town Banners

• Faction Banners placed throughout each Faction Town.
• Automatically display the banner of the Faction that currently has that town's Faction Flag Secured.
  • Example: If Prevalia has Secured Andaria's flag, Prevalia Banners display in Andaria town.
