The Echo System allows players to store a snapshot of their character's Stats and Skills at a specific point in time. This feature enables players to switch between different builds without the need to completely re-train their character from scratch.

Players can unlock multiple Echoes, with each additional Echo increasing in cost. Echoes can be activated once every 12 hours, though this cooldown can be reduced with Customizations such as Jack & Jill and Quick Change (allowing swaps at 6 hours, 1 hour, or even 15 minutes).

When an Echo is activated, the player's Stats and Skills are instantly swapped to match those stored in the Echo. The system also saves the current Stats and Skills, effectively replacing the old Echo with the current build.

However, players cannot activate or create an Echo if they have been engaged in PvP within the last 5 minutes, or in any form of combat within the last 2 minutes. Echoes also cannot be activated inside the Arena.

Echoes Menu

Players can access the Echo system by typing [Echo or [Echoes in-game. Eventually, a button will be added under the Paperdoll -> Help menu.

The Echoes menu is divided into two sections:

  • On the left side, the player’s current Stats and Skills are displayed.
  • On the right side, the stored Stats and Skills of the Echo are shown (if one exists).

If a character does not have an Echo, they can create one by clicking the Diamond button at the top of the menu under "Create Echo of Current Character." Doing so takes a snapshot of the player’s current Stats and Skills.

Creating an Echo requires a substantial cost, and players can toggle through different payment options using the arrow keys at the top of the menu.

Echo Creation Costs

Players can pay for an Echo using one of the following currency options:

Purchase Echo with Currency

1,000,000 Gold

1,000,000 Doubloons

100 Skill Mastery Scrolls

25,000 Arcane Essence

Creating and Activating Echoes

When a player creates an Echo, it immediately adopts the character's current Stats and Skills.

Activating an Echo instantly swaps the player's Stats and Skills to those stored in the Echo while saving their current ones. This allows players to seamlessly switch between builds. However, all skills will become Locked upon activating an Echo, requiring manual adjustment if players wish to change their skill distribution afterward.

It is important to note that Echoes do not affect attributes like Murder Counts or other unique player statistics—only Stats and Skills are altered.

Players can activate an Echo by clicking the Activate Echo button on the right side of the Echoes menu. Once activated, a **12-hour cooldown** applies before another switch can be made. Players can check the cooldown timer at the bottom of the Echoes menu.

Intent of the Echo System

The Echo system was designed to provide a solution for players who have heavily invested in skills such as Crafting, Harvesting, or Taming but want the ability to switch to a different playstyle. Instead of creating an entirely new character, players can save multiple builds and swap between them as needed.

For example, consider a player with 120 Poisoning who plays as a Poison Mage. This player might want to try a Poison Dexxer build without losing their original setup. Using the Echo system, they can:

  • Create an Echo that saves their current "Poison Mage" build.
  • Manually retrain their character by adjusting their skills to a "Poison Dexxer" setup.
  • Switch between the two builds once per day using the "Activate Echo" button.

In the example below, the player maintains Poisoning, Magery, and Magic Resist in both builds but swaps out different skills between the Mage and Dexxer versions.

With this system, players can experience a variety of playstyles without the commitment of permanently altering their character.
