Flooring Tiles serve as decorative elements for the floors within player Houses. Recent updates consolidated the previous terms "Carpet Tiles", "Rug Tiles", and "Floor Tiles" under this single classification, streamlining terminology for these single-tile decorative items.

Functionality

Rotating through tile styles by double-clicking in backpack.

Each Flooring Tile belongs to a set with various visual styles, such as corner pieces, edge pieces, and center sections. Players can conveniently cycle through these available styles by double-clicking the tile while it remains in their backpack. This allows previewing and selecting the desired piece before placement. Furthermore, once a Flooring Tile has been placed in a house, its orientation can now be adjusted using an Interior Decorator.

Acquisition

There are several methods through which players can acquire Flooring Tiles. A wide variety can be purchased directly from the Prevalian Merchant. The relevant category in the merchant's interface is now named Flooring, and the selection available for purchase has been significantly expanded with numerous new Carpet, Rug, and Floor tile designs.

Alternatively, certain Flooring Tiles, particularly dyeable Gilded sets, are craftable. Players with the Tailoring skill can find these recipes listed under the Utility category in their crafting menu. Crafting typically yields multiple tiles per attempt; for instance, crafting the Dyeable Gilded Carpet Tile produces two tiles.

Lastly, Flooring Tiles, especially Dyeable Rug Tiles and various others, may appear as loot. Players might find them on defeated monsters, within Dungeon Chests, accompanying Treasure Map rewards, or inside Ship Holds.

Dyeing

Examples of Carpet Tile Dyes.

Many Flooring Tiles are dyeable, allowing for further customization. This typically applies to tiles explicitly named 'Dyeable', such as the craftable Gilded sets or the lootable Rug tiles. To color these, players use specific Carpet Tile Dyes. These dyes are available in a range of hues and obtained from different sources throughout the world. Players may find Rare Hue Carpet Tile Dyes, matching the rare cloth hues, in the same locations where rare cloth might drop. Dungeons often yield Dungeon Hue Carpet Tile Dyes as loot. Additionally, specific reward systems offer their own unique dyes, such as the Arena Carpet Tile Dye or the Artificer Enclave Carpet Dye. Periodically, Limited Edition Carpet Tile Dyes may also become available, often matching new or existing Limited Edition Cloth Hues.

Storage

To help manage collections of these decorative items, players can utilize a Flooring Rack. This specialized container provides an organized way to store various Flooring Tiles.

Specific Flooring Tile Sets

Numerous distinct sets of Flooring Tiles exist. While the Prevalian Merchant offers a greatly expanded selection, below are examples of sets obtainable through crafting or as loot.
