Outlands Patch February 10, 2023

Outlands Patch February 4, 2023 is an update for Outlands.

This patch adds handling for Factions Flags carried during server reboots, changes Faction Flag Steal/Secure scoring potential and capping, removes the previous Faction Silver cap and introduces a minimum based on score, adjusts same-Faction Murderer attack rules, adds the `[ShowFactionKills` command, restricts Invisibility targeting in Faction zones, fixes Faction Dye Tubs and Corpse Creek Contest Faction attack issues, corrects Ship-to-Ship PvP damage scaling, adjusts Taste ID cooldown and skill gain, streamlines Player Vendor interaction, and introduces the new `[Vendors` menu for managing owned/rented/landlorded vendors remotely.

Factions

Server Boot

• Faction Flags being carried when server goes down (Patch/Crash/Restart) will now drop to the ground at the carrier's last location upon server boot.

Stealing and Securing Flags

• Potential Faction Score from Stealing and Securing Flags changed to 1:2 ratio (100% Control = 200 Potential Score) (Note: Values changed later).
• Potential Score earned from Securing is now CAPPED by Potential Score earned earlier for Stealing that same flag.
  • Intended to prevent players recalling into own castle to earn points for Securing a flag they didn't help steal/escort.
  • Example: Player earns 125 Potential Score during Steal. Can earn max 125 additional Potential Score during Secure (total 250 possible).
• *(Note: Potential Score from Stealing/Securing itself was removed later in Patch 23.02.18).*

Faction Silver Capping

• Removed current mechanic capping Faction Silver earned by Faction Score.

Faction Silver Minimums

• Tabula Rasa silver calculation still uses base formula (10,000 * Weekly Rank % within Faction).
• NEW: Players now guaranteed a minimum of (Faction Score / 5) Silver, up to a max guaranteed amount of 5000 Silver.
  • Example: Player Rank = 18% (1800 base Silver). Player Score = 12,000. Guaranteed Min = 12000 / 5 = 2400 Silver. Player receives 2400 Silver instead of 1800.
• *(Note: Faction Silver calculation completely overhauled later in Patch 23.06.23).*

Murderers

• Faction members can no longer attack Murderers in their own Faction by default.
• Can still attack same-Faction Murderers if the Murderer is temporarily Criminal (e.g., attacked an Innocent).

ShowFactionKills

• `[ShowFactionKills` or `[Punkte` command displays overhead text showing Faction Score earned ONLY from Player Kills this Season and Lifetime.
• 60 second cooldown between uses.

Invisibility Spell

• Cannot target other players with Invisibility spell within Faction Castles or Faction Waypost Regions.

Faction Dye Tubs

• Fixed issue allowing non-Faction players to dye worn clothing into Faction Hues.

Corse Creek Contest

• Fixed issue preventing players from same Faction attacking each other during Corpse Creek Contests.

Ships

• Fixed issue where Ship-to-Ship PvP Damage sometimes incorrectly used Full PvP (100%) instead of intended Ship-to-Ship scalar (12.5%).

Taste ID

• Skill Cooldown for using Taste Identification on Food changed to 2 seconds (was 1 second).
• Dramatically increased Skill Gain rate for Taste ID.

Vendors

• Double-clicking a Player Vendor you are the Landlord or Renter of now opens BOTH the Vendor's Backpack AND its Vendor Info Menu.

Vendors Menu

• New menu accessed via `[Vendor` or `[Vendors` commands, or Paperdoll -> Help -> Vendors.
• Shows all Player Vendors associated with player (Owner, Landlord, Renter).

Owner Page

• Lists all Vendors inside player's House that belong to the player.

Landlord Page

• Lists all Vendors inside player's House rented to other players.

Renter Page

• Lists all Vendors player is Renting in other players' houses.

Sorting Vendors

• Click Left/Right "Sort By" buttons to cycle through filters: Item Count, Contract End, Last Restock, Gold Stored, Player Name (Landlord/Renter), Shop Name, Vendor Name.

View Vendor Info

• Click Blue Diamond button to open standard Vendor Info Menu remotely.
• Can adjust Settings/Contract remotely.
• Cannot use "View Goods" button if out of range. Can Collect Gold / Dismiss vendor remotely.

Vendor Tracking

• Click "House" small orb button to view Map and get Tracking Arrow to vendor's location.
